Emergence

It is time to get back into the swing of things. I have been slacking since the holidays and it needs to come to an end. It will go this far and no further. As of today I am down 4 workouts on my challenge and so I have a lot of ground to make up. It will be a challenge, but I will prevail.

So my blog related side note for tonight is this:

It is my new bar code for this blog. I am placing it in various locations and I will see if it leads others to this blog. I am very curious if it will. So if you came to this site through the barcode I welcome you. Look around, see what you think, leave a comment.

Have a happy and healthy one.

Frame of Mind

I just wanted to post a real update to the blog. The last two were..... short. Though I am not sure if anyone is still reading this after all the gaps in my posting. Even still I am going to fill you in on some stuff. I don't have a whole lot to update on, but I will give you what I got.

On the working out front I have been doing pretty badly. I started the 6 week challenge and I am currently 4 workouts behind where I should be. I am going to have to find a way to make up those that I have missed. There is plenty of time to make it up before the official end date of the challenge. The game is different than the original and I need to come up with something I like that will make me continue it. I really enjoy the updates to the boxing and will have to come up with a routine that includes it. I will try to update the blog to say how I am doing.

Food has been doing okay. This weekend was a bad example, but during the week I am usually really good at what I eat. I usually have a simple meat and veggie. I stay away from pop and other drinks like that. I have tried to stick mainly to juice or water. I need to work on more of a weekly plan. Not that what I am doing now is failing it just could be better. I also need to work on weekend activities that tend to lead me to ignore healthy living. Might have to look into some sort of gym membership or maybe find some sort of club I could join. Of course it is hard during the winter months for either. Memberships are more expensive and clubs are limited to activities that I don't really do.

My biggest thing right this second is that I am frustrated beyond belief. That is what is causing me the most happenings in my life. It also is having a negetive effect on my healthy living and on this blog. So what is my frustrations? I am glad you asked. They would be life, love, and everything in between. I just have too much on my mind and it is starting to overwhelm me. Not sure what to do about any of them. I only have a somewhat idea on one of the things, but I have fears that it will not be good if I do what I am thinking. The main thing is I am unsure if the situation is how I am reading it and I don't want to take the risk if it is not. I guess I fear to lose what I have. Though by not taking the risk I may still run the possibility of losing it. So I really have no clue. It would be nice if certain things were easy. I don't mind things being hard, but there are somethings I wouldn't mind being easy. Anyways.....

Those are my things for this weekend. Sorry for the somewhat rant even though it is not a rant. Though I must point out that is my blog to post anything and everything. Even though I do hold a lot back since people have been known to read this.

Have a healthy and happy one.

Lots of things....

So I jotted down a list of topics that I wanted to talk about in this post tonight. I know I am a huge geek, but I am a prepared geek. The only issue is I am really tired and don’t feel like going into all of them in detail. Looking at my list I see one that should be its own post because it is goofy enough on its own. I will touch on a few of the topics and save some for another time and another dimension.

If you haven’t played the game in the last post I would suggest you do so before reading further.

I hope all like the game and I hope you all figured out what the answer was. If not I have officially lost a total of eleven point nine pounds so far. That amazingly brings me to twenty five percent of my goal. I know some people have made mention that they notice, but I really don’t. It may be that I see myself every day in the mirror and don’t notice the gradual change that is taking place. I just see the numbers and it is hard for me to believe. I do know I feel so much better than I have in a long time. Even if I don’t lose that much weight it is worth it just how much better I feel. I hope all of you stick with me to see just how far this rabbit hole goes.

In case anyone was wondering the 12 IN 24 challenge is cancelled. There is no way I would be able to achieve the goal and it would probably not be that healthy for me to actually reach it. Now I am just filling time until I can give another 30 day active challenge the full time it needs. This will actually happen in a few weeks from now. I am actually looking forward to starting the new challenge. While I enjoy my custom workout there is something to be said for the structure of the challenge. It also forces me to do some of the workouts that I am not really a fan of, but are probably pretty good for me. I tend to look past the jumping ones to the stay solid on the ground.

So describe Active I hate to start the workouts, I like working out once I start, and I love the feeling after I get done. It is a huge love hate relationship I am having with it. Take tonight for example. I almost didn’t work out. I just wasn’t feeling it and then I made myself. During the workout I was feeling good and now I feel wonderful. I am of course rather tired. I find you need to take the Peter Pan approach to working out. You need to have a “happy thought” or something that motivates you. If you have that thought in your head nothing can stop you. The nice thing is you don’t need creepy fairies or dust to succeed. I know it is a strange way to think about it, but it works.

Those are all my topics for tonight. I really only have one more topic, but that is the one I think deserves its own post. I also have a few things I can add to that post to make it more complete. I apologize for the length of this post. I know I said I would only touch on the topics, but once I start going there is no stopping. I would make a movie reference to what I just wrote, but I am afraid I will be showing my geek side. If you can guess what it is you get an extra bonus point that can be used in the lightning round.

Have a happy and healthy one.

Today's Random Post

So the funny for tonight is that I stopped at Target on my happenings for today and found something in the dollar section in the front of the store. It was a resistance cable and it only cost $0.62. It was at 75% off. It was the last one in the bin and I laughed when I saw it. It doesn’t seem to be the most resistant, but for the price why not. I am unsure as to what I am going to use it for. Maybe I will bring it to work or leave it in my computer room to use while I watch old TV shows. Today it is Stargate SG1 season 7. Right now I am watching the Lost City episode.

Have a happy and healthy one.
