The Dauphin

Such a long day this was. I was so glad when it ended. I guess the only thing to report is that I received my flu shot today. It is actually the first time that I have ever received the shot. There were some incentives in getting the shot this year that I will not go into. I was actually a bit surprised at the fact that I didn’t feel the needle at all. Usually there is a little prick, but there wasn’t anything. So that was a good thing. I am sure most people would encourage everyone to go out and get the shot. Personally if you don’t want to, I would say don’t. I take no responsibility if you get sick and or die from the flu though. It is really a personal decision.

So, on a work out topic I spent the night playing around with Fit Plus. My first take on it is that it is much better than the original. Seeing as though it has all of the original activities it isn’t that hard to imagine that is better than the original. My favorite is what they call Training Plus. It has a lot of game exercises sort of like the balance games, but it seems to be more focused on working out than building balance. They give a decent leg workout. The other feature I like is that they have added a calorie count. It is nice to see how much you are actually burning and gives you some motivation to work out a little longer. They also give you the option to see what kind of food you would burn with your calorie count or you can pick a food to have as you goal. Tonight I had fried chicken at 278 calories as my goal and I reached that goal. If I find the time I will try to write up a more in depth analysis of the game. Would I recommend buying it? If you already had EA Sports Active I would say yes. I find it a nice break from the same old routine.

I also did my basic 30 minute routine tonight. So with the Fit Plus I spent a total of 1:30 working out tonight. Not too shabby if you ask me. The one thing I like is that I used the Fit Plus as sort of a warm up work out since it is less of a strenuous. This actually worked out pretty well and I will try to continue to do so from now on. Other than that not much is going on here. I do have a few thoughts that may not come to fruition, but we will see.

Have a happy and healthy one.
